Wedding Wednesday: Wedding Budget (Part 2)

6:00 AM

Hi guys and dolls! As I explained in a previous post, weddings are in some way an expression of the bride and groom’s style and preferences. This is what makes weddings absolutely unique and beautiful, so it is extremely important we don’t forget anything while making the necessary plans. There are some very important aspects of a civil wedding that can apply to a religious wedding such as beverages, photography, videos, etc. But, there are some necessary aspects to take into consideration such as:

Wedding rings: These are the symbol of your union that you’ll be wearing for the rest of your life, so you have to be very mindful when you purchase them. Make sure they are just the right size, that they have a design you love and that they are made out of a durable material.

Groom’s boutonniere: In a typical wedding, the groom wears a very beautiful boutonniere that differentiates him from the rest of the men in the party. It is important that you purchase it the day before or arrange that your florist of decorator has one ready for you at the party.
Wedding cake and sweets: In the religious wedding, it is a custom to have a dashing wedding cake and sweets to accompany it. So it is important to make a budget for each of those things or, if you’re going to deliver the baker the materials, make a budget for the handiwork and another for the ingredients.

Wedding meal: If you’re serving a meal at your wedding, it is always a good idea to attach a letter in the wedding invitation asking if any of the guests has dietary restrictions you have to be aware of. This way, your guests will feel welcome, appreciated and important. You can ask your caterer for the budget info on this.

Hired staff and extra hours: You might need various types of staff for your wedding, but you don’t know if your celebration might extend just a bit over the programmed schedule, so mke sure you don’t get caught with no staff in the middle of the party and ask how much extra hours of service cost.

Bride’s bouquet: The bride’s bouquet is one of the most important parts of the ceremony attire, so it is important to have it in consideration and look at the prices for various styles, shapes and flowers. You can see some info on this here:

Car decoration:  The decoration of the car in which the bride is going to arrive at the wedding and in which the newlyweds are going to go into the reception is very important. Try to talk to your decorator about the car decoration, and see just how creative you can get with it. Also, don’t forget to add the “JUST MARRIED” sign on the back!

So, I hope this post helped some of you have a slightly better idea of some of the many things to take into consideration when planning a religious wedding. It is indeed a difficult task but it can definitely be done.

Thanks for reading, stay awesome!
